I currently develop accessible, engaging, and rigorous courses in EdTech. My experience as an academic researcher means that I focus on making evidence-based decisions. I am also passionate about inclusive design and have experience advocating for disabled colleagues and users within organisations.🌐 Interest in digital designAs a teenager (back in the days of Geocities) I taught myself to build websites by writing the HTML code and spent a year at art school. I have now learned new skills in digital design and UX through the King’s College London UX Design course.📖 Research backgroundMy work as an academic enabled me to do in-depth research, develop strong problem solving skills, focus on rigorous and evidence based work, and learn to communicate to a wide range of audiences.👥 Inclusive practiceRoles in universities also gave me the chance to work with people who had a broad range of backgrounds and needs. I became the disability lead for an EDI committee in my faculty and advocated for staff and students.💻 Accessible digital products I started my return to digital design in EdTech and focused on producing rigorous and inclusive online learning products. At EEMUA, I helped to launch 4 new, commercially successful courses.
