Fiona has over 20 years’ experience with EY, and has the expertise to provide an ‘end to end’ tax controversy service offering: from advising clients on the development of tax corporate governance frameworks, to managing the entire tax audit life cycle (in doing so advising on both tax technical and administrative issues) and dispute resolution - both formal and informal.

Fiona joined Ernst & Young in 1999. Fiona’s primary role is assisting clients in managing tax audits from both a technical and strategic perspective. This includes preparation of advice and correspondence concerning not only the technical issues, but administrative law aspects as well. Fiona has experience in all aspects of the audit life cycle – from dealing with initial queries and the provision of information during the audit process, to responding to Position Papers and dispute resolution (both formal and informal).Historically, Fiona has assisted clients manage their tax reporting and compliance obligations, which has ranged from tax provision work to management of the income tax return process. Her clients in this regard ranged from single entities to large groups with multiple entity types (including Tax Consolidated and MEC Groups).
