Reports to the Head of Overseas Real Estate Fund Accounting within SLI Operations, primarily responsible for the delivery of financial reporting and financial management support for European Property Growth Fund (“EPGF”).Key responsibilities:- Preparation of year end financial statements and annual reports- Liaise with the funds’ auditors to ensure the sign off of the funds’ financial statements occurs on time with clean audit reports- Quarterly estimated Net Asset Value calculations- Detailed analytical review of quarterly consolidated accounts produced by EPGF’s outsourced consolidation provider- Prepare top quality financial information in a timely and accurate manner to the customers of the Real Estate Fund Accounting team to ensure their business needs are met- Produce property performance data to ensure accuracy and completeness- Maintain, establish and document processes and procedures for monitoring and controlling financial reporting and NAV calculations

Key responsibilities:- Review and challenge critical investment accounting data relating to Bond and Equity investments through the design and operation of targeted reconciliations and testing- Engage directly with internal customers and external suppliers, monitoring month-end accounting data, ledger movements and leading the resolution of issues- Constructively challenge existing processes and activities, designing and implementing process improvements consulting and influencing stakeholders as required- Represent the Function in Group and Company-wide initiatives, scoping and assessing any material impacts on investment accounting data and General Ledger - Manage the External Audit relationship, project managing the efficient delivery of required information from multiple sources. Chair meetings between the auditors, SLI and the external supplier to ensure prompt resolution of queries and associated escalation - Create and maintain working relationships with customers at all levels throughout the organisation, external customers and suppliers

Key responsibilities:- Auditing complex processes within the Standard Life Group including Standard Life Assurance Limited (SLAL), Standard Life Savings (SLS), Standard Life Healthcare (SLH - prior to sale), Standard Life Asia and Europe. Areas analysed include FSSC Financial Controls, Payment Controls and Reconciliations, Fund Launch, Financial Crime, Premiums and Claims.- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. This included the UK Finance Team and Group Financial Crime, and historically the Irish branch of SLAL, SLIL, Group Operations (prior to restructure) and Asia Pacific operations - Promote the continuous improvement of risk management and control processes across the Group through productive management relationships - Contribute to Executive level committees

Key responsibilities:For an International Transport Manufacture Group with a sub-consolidated turnover of £90m - - Senior Auditor for two years, which included a transitional phase to US SEC listed ownership and audit of sub-Group consolidation under U.K GAAP and U.S. GAAP- Briefing and organisation of subsidiary In-charges and the remainder of the head office audit team- Co-ordination of the SOX 404 audit in the UK and performance of work on key risk areas identified during the planning process- Assisting with the planning and scoping of overseas audits including a week spent in Finland providing training and assisting the local audit team For a subsidiary of a German automotive Group with £160m turnover - - Co-ordinating all audit documentation and the activities of several assistants- Completion of year-end audit and quarterly reporting under UK GAAP, including review of the statutory accounts- Contributing in final audit and interim audit meetings- Obtaining a quick, thorough understanding of the technical issues and audit risk areas relating to the client and briefing the manager accordingly- Supporting a significant IFRS conversion project
