I am a UK artist living in the north of England. My paintings, drawings, prints and cards, in a range of media, can be seen on my website: www.fionaormerod.artweb.com. I exhibit regularly in local galleries and my work can be found in private collections in the UK and overseas.I previously taught English in Europe, North Africa and South East Asia and was employed as a social science researcher at Lancaster University before retraining in art psychotherapy, providing individual art therapy for patients, carers and bereaved people at a cancer day care centre and helping set up art groups for people living with disabilities such as M.E. and stroke. Over recent years I have been focussing more on my own art. My first solo exhibition was held at Brantwood, Coniston in 2011. I have also exhibited in London, with The Pastel Society and The Society of Botanical Artists.
