Effective leadership is frequently about how well you build and manage relationships – with teams, partners, boards, funding bodies and customers. I have leveraged a strong background in psychology and client facing roles, progressing through marketing and communications to product, and more recently, general management. My most recent tenure with Healthdirect was accountable for strategic, operational and P&L control of the delivery of high-profile public services for the Commonwealth and State Governments. This eclectic mix of skills has positioned me effectively to set the vision – and then lead people to get there. I look for the desired end state first, and then break that down, creating a solid foundation that is centred on good business to build reputation and achieve solid and enduring growth, diversification and expansion.Melding extensive experience that has extended from marketing and omni-channel service design to program management, governance and operational excellence, I have gained invaluable experience reshaping every aspect of delivery to drive business outcomes, from the overhaul of IIA’s brand, website and global value statement to resetting and enhancing business partnerships to achieve wider organisational impact.
