As a performance driven health professional, I have enjoyed a broad and varied career of more than 40 years in the New Zealand public health sector, starting as a radiotherapy radiographer, transitioning to various hospital/DHB management and leadership roles before accepting the role as CEO of New Zealand Blood Service in 2006, which I held for nearly 9 years. After retiring from full-time employment in Auckland in 2015, my husband and I moved to Tauranga and set up a home-based consulting business (KorFi Consulting Ltd) to provide part-time contracting work, fitting this around domestic and international travel. In 2021, after both completing our current assignments, we made the decision to retire. KorFi provided us both with a great transition to retirement. We will both continue to engage with our many professional colleagues and contacts through LinkedIn.
