Research AssistantBank Of England Jun 2013 - Jul 2014London, United KingdomWorking at the hub of macroeconomic has given me the opportunity to sit in on MPC and FPC meetings. It has enhanced by ability to see the big picture on issues and understand the side effects of decision making.I use a number of different sources (Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters Datastream, central bank websites) to gather and analyse international data for internal and external analysis. I use analytical skills to ensure the use of the most accurate, reliable and up to date data. I was section research assistant for the bank’s flagship publication, the Financial Stability Report, focusing on the UK housing market. This was a high pressure role with continual deadlines, objectives and re-drafting. Forcing me to excel under pressure, take feedback and opinions from a number of directions and execute excellence despite a number of barriers in a team environment. I have also fact found, checked and assisted in a number of published speeches for key bank speakers. -
Corporate Relations ExecutiveSife Loughborough Feb 2012 - Jun 2013Coming to University I was keen to maintain my strong business background. I thus got involved with SIFE Loughborough and was shortly given the role of CRE. In this role, I have to work big companies, local companies, the University, Union and students simultaneously and maintain appropriate relationships with both. I set up and chair meetings with different stakeholders all seeking different interests. Thus the homogenous view I take on situations is well suited as I am able to see the bigger picture and connect dots that drive SIFE Loughborough and our partners interests.

Customer Team Logistics PlannerProcter & Gamble Aug 2010 - Jul 2011This role started as an admin assistant role for gap year students. Within three months I demonstrated a high level of capability and was given responsibility for my own Business Unit. This role was very challenging and highly regarded within P&G and gave me the opportunity to work inside two of the biggest companies in the world. It was a customer facing role and I was expected to juggle the priorities and constraints of the business with the demands and expectations on the customer, teaching me a lot about business and customer relations. My role also forced me to learn how to manage and set priorities; I had four categories to work on, each demanding just as much attention and care both internally and externally, which was not always possible, yet I was able to maintain a good relationship with all my peers and counterparts, even when relationships were under pressure. -
Brownie LeaderGirl Guiding Oct 2006 - Apr 2011I have been part of the Girl Guiding movement since age 7 and became a leader at 16.This demonstrated a high level of commitment as I attended the weekly sessions with the girls but also had planning meetings and pre work for the activities. It also acknowledges my responsibility, as I am trusted to take care of a group of girls each week and on pack holidays where I was first aider.

Business MentorYoung Enterprise Uk Sep 2009 - Feb 2010As a result of my work on the Young Enterprise team (08/9), I was asked to acted as a business mentor to the new team of pupils who were running that year's ‘AMP Awards’ Battle of the Bands enterprise. I found this role very challenging, as I had to take a back seat in organising the event; my emphasis being to advise and guide a younger team. Yet I really enjoyed the experience, found it very beneficial, requiring me to give constructive criticism and motivational support to the group. The group proved very successful and made profits of £1500 for charity. -
Head Of Marketing And ProductionDebut Events - Young Enterprise Sep 2008 - Jun 2009I took part in my school‘s Young Enterprise where I was Head of Marketing and Production. This allowed me to draw on the skills I had gained from Learn to Lead and apply them to the project. I was effective in delegating tasks; I liaised closely and took instructions from other Heads of Department and the Managing Director. We organised an ‘AMP Awards’ Battle of the Bands between seven other schools in the area, which was staged at the Harrogate International Centre. This further improved my communication and organisation skills. Because of our successful project management, we realised net profits of £800.
