The ‘Sacred Spaces’ project was a collaboration between CE4CE and Creativity, Culture & Education (CCE) (www.creativitycultureeducation.org). The project focused on supporting creative teaching and learning in supplementary school settings in London and Leicester. The project was evaluated by OPM (www.opm.co.uk). As project manager I:Managed a budget of over £70,000, and a team of 4 artists, 12 teachers and 60 pupils.Liaised between supplementary schools, artists, OPM, and CCE.Co-designed training sessions on creative learning methods and how to employ them in the classroom. Facilitated training sessions with supplementary school teachers and artists.Co-ordinated and monitored lessons in the four schools. Oversaw 60 pupils’ recruitment for and progress through the Sacred Spaces module and the Bronze Arts Award.Organised a celebratory event at the Royal Society, London, bringing together pupils from the four schools to interact and present their work. Wrote an article on the project published by ContinYou, one of the UK’s leading educational charities (www.continyou.org.uk)Organised and took part in round table and steering group meetings. Prepared project reports for CCE and documented the project using video, images, and interviews.

Reviewed films and supplied features on the festival’s key films, directors and themes.Proofread and edited articles submitted.Conducted live audience interviews with various directors and producers.

Wrote and designed worksheets for primary and secondary school children to accompany the 1001 Inventions exhibition at the London Science Museum, which received 400,000 visitors.Co-designed and led educational workshops in schools and at University open days.Co-designed, provided all written and visual content, and filmed and edited interviews for a new website for CE4CE. Coordinated a large academic conference and conducted tours at the London Science Museum.Co-designed several community projects and prepared funding applications for them. Won a grant from the Big Lottery Fund for a pilot graphic novel project.Authored the framework for a graphic novel. Ran a pilot workshop with secondary school pupils.

Wrote daily features and reviews on theatre, art, style, restaurants, and events in Cambridgeshire.Wrote editorial for weekly magazine and provided commercial copy for local businesses.Proofread and edited articles submitted.

As part of a team of three, drove from England to India researching for the documentary ‘Tracing Tea’.Established contacts in museums, academic institutions, and embassies in 18 countries.Located and interviewed people to feature in the documentary.Helped maintain a daily blog and weekly video diary.Produced comprehensive reports on filming locations and accommodation, and controlled team finances.Raised awareness of and secured investors for the company.
