I have never enjoyed writing these bios so have stolen one that someone wrote for me ...Fiona is a recognized leader within the Energy & Telco industry and is in demand as a public speaker and mentor. She was awarded the Woman in Energy Award and was the first person to develop an integrated service model for bundling energy and broadband in New Zealand (and remains the only person to have achieved this at scale.)Supporting and motivating teams through transformational change has been a regular theme in her career, including playing a key role leading teams through the split of the Retail business and successful integration with the Mercury brand. More recently she has played a significant role providing governance and oversight to the migration of circa 300,000 customers onto one technology stack.Passionate about AI, machine learning & robotics (while not losing the human touch) she has delivered major customer led initiatives (via waterfall and agile sprint methodologies) never losing sight of the power of collective intelligence, where you leverage the best of human and machine led outcomes. People remain her passion and Smiths curiosity and ability to foster an open collaborative environment ensures her teams excel, she is fabulous communicator and believes that transparency is critical to build trust. Smith is a proud Mum of a grown-up gorgeous son and has a fabulous husband that helps to make life easy. Outside of work she sings in a band and loves to get outdoors.
