I lead the information management and privacy functions here at DIA. Information management has been a long term passion for me. I'm really interested in strategy, what new technologies mean for IM, and how we can put our customers at the centre of our work and improve the customer experience - which will lead to better outcomes and a lift in IM capability. I'm also in the process of building a new privacy team to support our central privacy function. This is an exciting new area for me!

As part of my brief I am responsible for developing and implementing DIA's Information Management Strategy and Action Plan. I have business ownership responsibilities for our ECM, and am the policy and content owner for Outlook and MS Teams (including SharePoint Online). I lead a team of IM professionals who deliver a wide range of services to the Department. Our particular focus at the moment is on how we can uplift IM capability. I have a strong interest in the IM and change management implications of new and emerging technologies, particularly from a user perspective. I wrestle with governance challenges on a regular basis and have a keen interest in the intersection of information management with information security and privacy. While my role is DIA focused I have also provided advice to a range of all of government initiatives.From September 2022 I will take on overall leadership of DIA's privacy function. This is a really exciting new area which has long been of interest to me.
