We 'lift designs off the page' producing actual systems and display items for commercial and promotional use. As our products are always bespoke for our clients, managing outcomes is key to my function here.As the name would suggest this is a family business and our team of skilled people enable us to produce high quality work consistently for an impressive array of returning clients.

Embarked on a 6 month programme to coach business owner Linda Tiley in retailing technique. Knitting and textiles expert Linda wanted to feel more in control of sales, buying and stock levels and achieve an increase in turnover.Following the seasonal opportunities I was able to teach Linda how to record and analyse sales, adding in and testing new ideas in the run up to Christmas. At year end we carried out a stocktake in a manner to be used going forward and acted upon that information to create a Sale offer for the month of January. From the outset visual merchandising is being used very strongly both within the shop and in the two prominent shop windows, to good effect.Now that more is known about sales patterns, I am highlighting range selection and forward budgeting, together visiting relevant trade fairs and seeing suppliers. Linda is now armed with more information with which to make decisions that will be beneficial to trade and forward stock positions.Results have been really good with an +18% increase year on year in December and similar increases are being noted in the weeks since new year. This project is currently ongoing.

Freelance project for Tall Ships visit

Engaged to perform a transformative operation to turn a limited 'tabletop' offer into a world class retail gift offer in new purpose-built premises as Phase 1 of the Crypt development. Coinciding with charging for entry, increasing standards and expectations, revenue and turnover. These goals were achieved in the short term and then built on in the years and months following. Working with suppliers to create unique gift items across all price ranges, I was able to achieve the balance of commercial success with appropriate merchandise using the great resouces of themes available. Re training existing staff, then adding to the team enabled the business to grow and respond to the needs of the location, ensuring the retail offer was always in balance with and complementary to the wonderful St Paul's Cathedral in the heart of the City of London.For more info contact Ruth Moore rmoore@stpaulscathedral.org.uk

I re-made the retail offer in both Howletts and Port Lympne, located in the Kent countryside to become themed and complementary in appearance and highly profitable in terms of revenue. Working as a freelance I was able to bring the spend-per-head up to four times its previous level whilst improving the quality and profitability of the operation. Retraining existing staff brought higher levels of proffessionalism to the offers and created a reliable retail income for the Aspinall Fondation.

Worked for both Brenda Knight (BKPR) and Nigel Preston (Maxfield Parrish) as the two businesses were closely linked. PR duties involved representing fashion designer clients and the organisation of 'Design Studio', Brenda's specially edited collection of British Designers that included Ally Capellino, Georgina Von Etzdorf, Artwork, Sarah Dallas and John Galliano (his first collection post St Martins) amongst others.Showed Nigel Preston's collection in Paris and New York dealing with UK and International press and buyers.

Worked directly for Giffy Fields and Nigel Cowell. Best concession Top Shop Oxford Circus then opened stand alone in the city. Appointed area manager South of England 40 concessions Birmingham Plymouth Canterbury triangle.

Senior Management Trainee originally in Duke Street with Glad (Sandra Brewster), then a short spell in Croydon followed by promotion to 'Acting Assistant Manager' in vast Southampton store. Then Assistant Manager proper in Brent Cross then Regent Street. Promoted to Manager inYork then Norwich. Loved the work but developed a hatred of moving!
