I am a pro-active, enthusiastic farmer's daughter from the North of Scotland. From the age of 14 - 30 I was an active member of my local Young Farmers club and held office bearer roles from secretary to treasurer from club to district level. I am now lucky enough to be employed by the Scottish Association of Young Farmers and carry out the North Area Development Officer role. My key responsibilities are organising and overseeing events as well as having a grasp of budgets to ensure the events are being run efficiently. I liaise with members, staff, judges, stake holders and stewards to ensure we are delivering the relevant competitions in the best way possible. I currently stand as Junior Vice President for my local agricultural show and work alongside an amazing team of volunteers to help organise and run the annual event. My main attributes are organising events efficiently, good time management, and working as part of a team. I relish the thought of new challenges and enjoy giving my all to anything I do.
