I joined the Board of GWA in summer 2013. Glasgow Women‘s Aid has been supporting women, children and young people who are experiencing Domestic Abuse for 40 years. The development of our service has been influenced by the experiences of the women, children and young people that we have supported. As an organisation we provide information, support and temporary refuge accommodation.

I served on the board of the Scottish Registered Charity, Project Ability Limited, from 1998 to 2018. Project Ability is a Glasgow-based visual arts organisation with an international reputation for excellence. We create opportunities for people with disabilities and people with mental health issues, aged 5 years to 90, to express themselves and achieve artistic excellence.An average of three hundred people each week take part in our year round programme of workshops, events and exhibitions which are held in our centre in Trongate 103 and in community venues throughout the city.We work in partnership with people with disabilities and their support agencies across the UK and develop local, national and international arts projects, creating opportunities for people to network, share their practice and exhibit their work.Find out more about the work that Project Ability do at their website / blog and online shop. SWIB is Scotland's premier ladies networking organisation - I have been a member since 1998, and still am, and served on the Committee for five years, holding position as Treasurer throughout that time, and also Vice President in 2004/5.

I served on the Committee of the Association of Scottish Business Women, which is the umbrella organisation for local Scottish Businesswomen networks. This involved organising events including Work Life Balance weekends and the Annual Businesswomen Awards. I am still a member of this very worthwhile organisation through Scottish Women in Business.
