An energetic and focused theatre practitioner who now focuses on teaching Drama in secondary schools, Fiona is committed to working with young people to develop their confidence and creativity. She is keen to continue developing her professional practice to offer participants an exceptionally high quality creative experience in the Drama classroom and in extra-curricular projects. She also continues to develop her own professional practice by attending courses with leading theatre practitioners and by using high quality source materials with students ranging from Douglas Maxwell’s Deck Does a Bronco to Kneehigh Theatre’s The Red Shoes. A personal research interest is the relationship between curricular and extra-curricular drama, between schools and youth theatre, between attainment and achievement, and how Curriculum for Excellence (the new curriculum in all Scottish schools) allows for the most comprehensive, high quality experience for all learners.Specialties: Connections with current theatre practitionersEnsemble approaches to devising and investigating text
