SEIT incorporates UNSW Canberra Space, the UNSW Canberra Capability Systems Centre, and previously incorporated the precursor to the current UNSW Institute for Cybersecurity, UNSW Canberra Cyber. I lead and oversee the strategic and operational management of the plans and processes to deliver services so that SEIT meets academic, research, teaching and learning and administrative KPIs and goals.I am an Executive member and provide leadership and executive advice across all areas including academic, research and general administration, procurement, finance and budget, technical services, facilities and WHS particularly in the context of teaching and research lab infrastructure. I lead the Administration Team and Technical Support Group (TSG) which incorporates technical staff including lab technicians, fitters and machinists, student trainers, and engineers.

I led a team of 18 staff working across 6 teams in the main areas of admissions, enrolments, fees & scholarships, Indigenous Australian student services and higher degree research. These teams were responsible for providing service and support to stakeholders across the University ranging from Executive and academic staff through to future and current students, parents, friends and the community.

Reporting to the Vice Chancellor (VC), I was responsible for leading confidential and impartial investigations of student complaints at the request of the VC and other University Executive where all other avenues for complaint resolution had been exhausted and/or no resolution had been reached.

I was responsible to ensure the effective service delivery of holistic student services by providing leadership and strategic direction to all Directorate staff in the areas of Student Health and Support, Sport and Cultural Activities, Client Services, Admissions and Enrolments and Examinations, Timetabling and Course progression across 3 campuses.

Responsible for the strategic and operational management of the largest and broadest portfolio at that time. I led a team of 23 staff providing service and support in the areas of course structure and planning; enrolments; examinations, progressions and records; Indigenous Australian student support; and higher degree research student administration.

I was appointed to this position while the incumbent was on extended leave. I provided leadership and strategic direction to International Office staff located at Lismore, Coffs Harbour and Tweed Gold Coast campuses in the provision of support services for international on campus students, including English Language Centres.

I led the operational management of the Team (7 members) which was responsible for the core business functions of examinations, progression, graduation, timetabling, prizes and records management across 3 campuses (Lismore, Coffs Harbour and Tweed Gold Coast).

I supported the Dean in the effective operational management of the Faculty. I designed and implemented the support systems for law students across all phases of the student lifecycle, provided financial and budgetary support to the Dean, and writing and editing of Faculty reports, submissions and publications.

Reporting to the Director I undertook development, supervision and co-ordination of the community education, publishing and research activities of the Institute included planning and organisation of the seminar program which attracted Continuing Legal Education (CLE) points; event & international conference management; establishment and implementation of a marketing strategy for the promotion of the Institute’s monograph series, and journal Current Issues in Criminal Justice, and the planning and preparation of associated functions; and provision of research support to the Director and other academics associated with the Institute.
