Having been promoted to Senior Fund Accountant at Link, I have taken on a number of additional tasks and responsibility. In my role as Senior Fund Accountant, I am now responsible for:•The review of net asset value calculations, cash reports, revenue projections, AIC or other industry returns, in accordance with business policies and procedures and within the required timeframe.• Administering alternative investment funds, accounting and income information for a portfolio of clients.• Reviewing management accounts and accompanying schedules as applicable, in accordance with documented business policies and procedures and within the required timeframe.• Having a thorough understanding of all fund administration activities including corporate actions, fund structures and resulting accounting entries.• Preparing/reviewing half year and full year accounts together with related information.• Attending client company board and management meetings as required.• The effective implementation of on-boarding new business and fund changes.• Regularly reviewing Service Level Agreements and updating as appropriate.• Taking the lead with allocated clients and auditors, dealing with all queries and escalating as appropriate.• Actively manage and mentor staff under supervision.

In my role as a Fund Accountant, I am primarily responsible for the timely and accurate execution and reporting of net asset values (NAVs) for clients' accounts (funds), identifying, analysing and substantiating impacts to the NAV.Critical functions performed in my everyday work include the processing and verification of all subscription and redemption activity (for unitised products), posting and monitoring of expense accruals, security transaction and corporate action review, monitoring of dividend and interest income and accruals, mark-to-market calculations, monitoring of securities pricing impacts, price dissemination and generating various accounting-based reporting.I am responsible for reconciling various accounts and also be involved with income distributions, help prepare financial statements or audit funds.
