The Irish Film Institute is Ireland’s national cultural institution for film. It provides audiences throughout Ireland with access to the finest independent, Irish and international cinema; it preserves and promotes Ireland’s moving image heritage through the IFI Irish Film Archive, and provides opportunities for audiences of all ages and backgrounds to learn and critically engage with film. The IFI comprises three core activities: Exhibit, Preserve and Educate. The IFI operates in Dublin, nationally and internationally.The Head of Development and Fundraising is a new strategic post which will play a key role in broadening the funding base of the IFI. I will be responsible for developing fundraising and corporate support through donations and sponsorship. We are looking to build partnerships and engagement schemes, to provide a range of opportunities to support the important and varied work of the IFI.

Get Connected is the UK's free, confidential helpline for young people under 25 who need help and don't know where to turn. Our service is available 365 days a year and young people can contact us by phone, webchat, email, text message or use our online directory, WebHelp 24/7.When a young person gets in touch, one of our 100 trained Helpline Volunteers helps them explore their issues. They offer emotional support and can let them know about appropriate sources of further specialist help from our database of 10,000 trusted organisations.Last year, each of our Helpline Volunteers directly helped around 200 children and young people who needed help with a wide range of issues including homelessness, self harm, bullying and drugs.

Earthrace set a new world record for a powerboat to circumnavigate the globe, running 100% renewable Biodiesel fuel, and with a net zero carbon footprint. The bespoke $3.5M Earthrace boat started the race on 27 April 2008 from Spain, breaking the world record in just 60 days 23 hours and 49 minutes, knocking almost 14 days off the previous record, held for ten years. The distance traveled was almost 24,000 nautical miles, fueled by Biodiesel to demonstrate the efficiency of, and draw global attention to, the potential for alternative fuel sources. As CEO, I was responsible for generating $1.5M sponsorship (income and services), introducing enhanced digital platforms (www.earthracetv.net) for public engagement, media and merchandising, and project managing all race preparations, on time and on budget. I led the ground crew team, travelling ahead of the boat to all 12 port stops around the world.

The Bush Theatre specialises in discovering, developing and producing new writing talent. Established over 35 years, with a respected international reputation for top quality cutting edge work, employing 10 full-time and 200+ freelances, it has been responsible for incubating a huge range of writers, many now well-established in theatre, TV and film. As well as eight new productions a year, Bush plays regularly transferred to the West End and toured nationally and internationally. With a commercial trading subsidiary, BPL, the 100 seat venue achieved a turnover of £1 million.
