Fiona is a patient advocate for Rare Diseases who was awarded a British Empire Medal for chairing the PCD Support Group and raising awareness of PCD in the 2021 New Year’s Honours.     In April 1998 I commenced a 5 year career break from HSBC. During this ‘break’ before commencing work for Stonac I worked as an ad hoc project manager for HSBC. These projects were varied and included the following major projects:-September to December 2000 - I undertook a full gap analysis of two system specifications. I produced documentation detailing the gaps, risks and costs of replacing one customer service system with another less functional one. Following consideration using my analysis the existing system remained. March 1999 - I undertook a process review of the Transaction Retrieval Team. Identified ways to increase productivity, reduce costs and increase income.November 1998 - Produced Y2000 contingency plans for the Customer Service Team. Flowcharting process flows, documenting risks and producing contingency plans for 20+ critical processes.
