Fiona is the Chair of Allens. She advises clients in complex merger clearances, access matters, cartel and other antitrust investigations and litigation. Fiona is often called on to assist companies formulate regulatory strategies where the ACCC is a key stakeholder.She has been involved in the largest and most complex merger clearances in Australia, including working with international counsel and economists on global mergers. Fiona has acted in high-profile competition cases, including proceedings that established the application of legal professional privilege to investigations brought by the competition regulator, proceedings alleging collusive conduct by major retail chains, the land and submarine cable cartel and seminal misuse of market power cases.Fiona is a past Chair of the Competition and Consumer Committee of the Law Council of Australia and is an active speaker on regulatory and competition issues. Fiona is recognised as a leading competition practitioner in Chambers Asia-Pacific, Best Lawyers and Global Competition Review.
