Senior Communications Coordinator
CurrentContractor for Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Directorate of Cyber and Technology Security (CTS) | Leads CTS communications initiatives and directly supports the Deputy Assistant Secretary, executive team, and the directorate offices.Primary point of contact and/or organizer for CTS participation in events, speaking engagements, conferences, student programs and fellowships, videos and podcasts.Fulfills design requests from leadership and teams, creates senior-level briefings and videos, and provides voice-overs.Creates and maintains communications product templates, and designs a variety of modern print, digital, and video educational materials. Redesigned and maintains the directorate's intranet website and created an internal document sharing platform to house SOPs, templates, onboarding materials, and pre-cleared messaging, talking points, and media.Coordinates with Five Eye partners (UK, CA, AUS, NZ) in a Cyber Cohort in an effort to expand international cooperation on cyber. Serves as the directorate's point of contact for DS Public Affairs, coordinating on media opportunities and social media. Reviews cyber educational materials, resources, and social media for the Cybersecurity Awareness Team.In June and July 2023, served as interim Special Assistant to the DS/CTS Deputy Assistant Secretary, a GS-13 to GS-14 equivalent position with Chief of Staff responsibilities, while maintaining Communications Coordinator role. Coordinated with Bureau of Diplomatic Security's Front Office as primary point of contact for the CTS Directorate on task assignments, cables, and engagement with DS principals.
