As a Decorative Arts student at Nottingham Trent University, I am specialising in art, textiles and illustrative print. Due to my experience as a gardener, I am inspired by flowers and their colours, forms and patterns. I like designing and making costumes and making 3D textile pictures that are influenced by nature.Whilst I enjoy the whole creative process, my strengths lie with the making and realisation of each product. I am especially skilled with embroidery and line drawings. I am keen to make connections with other designer makers, craftspeople and small creative businesses.I show a vintage caravan at steam rallies and love 50s music. In my spare time I enjoy walking my dog, cycling and playing the flute. Volunteering is also important to me. Vitalize is a holiday venue for adults with severe disabilities and Life is a day group for adults with learning difficulties. I enjoyed volunteering with both and found it really rewarding.
