I chose to attend the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst because of its renowned reputation in business education. With my major and focus being hospitality and tourism management, I felt that attending this school would align well with my career aspirations. My interest in hospitality comes from my experience working at The Eliot Hotel in Boston, MA. For the past four years I have been an employee there, and that allowed me to gain amazing experience working under different roles. I hope to gain more experience in the industry and further my knowledge through new opportunities and internships prior to graduating. Long term, I envision myself working in hotel management or event planning. I really enjoy working with people and being in a position to put things into motion. With my current experience and potential future opportunities, hotel management and/or event planning is something I am striving for.
