Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) is affiliated to the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) as the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) for New Zealand. PNZ is one of 170 NPC’s worldwide, responsible for supporting and growing Paralympic Sports in their countries. PNZ prepares, selects and leads New Zealand teams to international competitions and the Paralympic Games. PNZ works with athletes, coaches, sport scientists, commercial partners and government agencies. PNZ works to create greater awareness, understanding and acceptance of disability amongst the wider public. Responsibilities:• Providing accurate and timely advice and support to the Board • Providing executive leadership to staff and ensuring that the team works effectively to ensure the achievement of strategic and organisational outcomes• Ensuring that the Organisation complies with all financial, legal and statuary obligations• Developing and increasing Commercial Development and Revenue Generation Opportunities• Ensuring that the organisation has an effective Strategic Plan and aligned Business plans • Ensuring that the organisation provides leadership and value to all member organisations and their members, and other stakeholders• Increasing Brand Profile and public awareness for Paralympic Sport• Profile and Public Awareness for Paralympic Sport• Increase the profile and public awareness of Paralympics New Zealand, Paralympians, and Para sport• Ensure productive and effective links with key NZ media and media partners
