I independently perform laboratory work in virology in a BSL-2 environment including cell culture maintenance, virus culturing and isolation, and viral titration assays. I ensure quality control of laboratory procedures, and maintain an accurate, up-to-date, organized, and legible lab notebook. My current research includes infecting HeLa cells with Rhinovirus and treating with antiviral compounds, followed by preforming serial dilutions and TCID50/mL assays to determine the effects of these antivirals. I read the TCID50 plates for CPE and evaluate and analyze data to provide reports on requested timelines to my PI.
