With ten years of experience in the disability support sector, I am passionate about empowering people with disability and mental health challenges and breaking down the stigma that surrounds them. As a Team Leader Day Program at Johnny H, I oversee the delivery of quality services and programs that promote the well-being, independence, and social inclusion of our clients.My core competencies include leadership, project management, and team building, which I have developed and demonstrated in my previous roles as a Senior Disability Support Worker and Maritime Warfare Officer in the Royal Australian Navy. I also have a strong background in science, community services and animal husbandry, which inform my holistic and evidence-based approach to supporting people and animals. I am currently pursuing a Certificate IV in Mental Health at The Australian Academy of Media, as part of my commitment to continuous learning and professional development.I'm looking forward to building connections with others in the disability services sector in Canberra.
