I have held a variety of creative and executive positions, and my background as a professional musician gives my work a strong artist-centered approach. My work is a vocation and I have led a wide range of arts organisations, including orchestras, festivals and arts venues. My most recent work-life obsession is the Leeds International Piano Competition (which I grew up watching on the BBC with my dad) and I'm immensely proud to champion and extend the impact of this important and respected global event. I have extensive experience with major public and private sector partners in the UK and internationally. My recent business development achievements at Leeds have cemented major university, civic and artistic partnerships, and fundraising successfully throughout the pandemic years, enabling us to run our 1st Round across 17 countries and to be one of the first major arts events to return live in 2021.
