Fiona Stokes is a Presidential Academic Scholar at George Washington University pursuing a BA in International Affairs with a concentration in Contemporary Cultures and Societies. In addition, she is also double-majoring in Art History. As a Taiwanese American who grew up mostly in Taiwan, she gained a natural interest in the Taiwan-China issue. Specifically, she is interested in art and culture as a means to facilitate diplomacy and understanding. Her current projects include research on post-Chinese Civil War Taiwanese military villages through her Taiwan Education and Research Program (TERP) Fellowship. In addition, she is also an editor for the “Piranesi’s Rome: Views of the Eternal City” exhibition that is on view at the Luther W. Brady Gallery and later the Italian Embassy.
