About Fionn Bowd
I believe in my fellow lawyers and in my fellow citizens.I believe in our intelligence, creativity, and capacity for change. I believe we can solve our problems when we understand the difference between the impossible and the possible and we focus our energy on the missing piece. These days I wear 3 hats. At Bowd, I find perfect fit lawyers for great law firms, just in time. As a democracy activist, I advocate for 21st Century democracy that dismantles the structures of yesterday because they failing us today. They call us the 'Voices', they call us the 'Teals', they call us the 'Independents'. Call us what you like - what matters is that we are being the change we want to see. As a lawyer, I work on projects that feed my passions - lately, that means green energy. As for my background, I have 20 years of top tier law firm and blue chip in-house corporates. I spent half of my career in law firms and the other half in-house. I still practice and love to be on the tools, but now I only take on the projects that I find thrilling and for people with whom I want to work. My practice is as a project infrastructure lawyer with deep experience in regulated infrastructure (port, rail, road, telco, airports, energy) and resources projects, including public projects and private projects under State Agreement. I have advised resource companies, green energy proponents, infrastructure owners and operators including rail and port operators, telecommunication carriers, airports, financiers, international trading houses, superannuation funds managers, alternative energy producers and others. I have specialist expertise in land access and complex land arrangements for major projects under construction or acquisition (greenfield or brownfield) as well as associated construction and procurement tendering and agreement negotiation. I also have a background in native title and Aboriginal heritage and all major approvals.
Listed skills include Mining, Corporate Law, Negotiation, Environmental Compliance, and 33 others.
