As founder and leader of Open Door Care, I am dedicated to delivering exceptional residential services; creating a nurturing environment for separated children seeking international protection, and ensuring their seamless integration into the community.My background in psychotherapy shapes my approach to all my offerings and services with a strong focus always on emotional wellness. With a wealth of experience contracting with the Department of Children, Education, Disability, and Youth, I can confidently communicate, coordinate and deliver irrespective and in line with a child or young person's needs whether in a therapy or residential setting.As an Adult and Adolescent Psychotherapist, I consistently leverage my interpersonal skills, attuned to both the spoken and unspoken needs of my clients. My extensive experience working with adolescents and raising four children of my own has enabled me to build that 'essential' trust and rapport you need when working with youth and adolescents.In addition, I am an active school wellness workshop facilitator. These are bespoke sessions that effectively meet the needs of participants; understanding their unique concerns whilst being mindful of the school and community dynamics. My confidence in reading the audience and adapting the content ensures the delivery of impactful and relevant workshops.
