Having worked in the accounts departments of a few different businesses in Galway I joined Galway Bay fm in 2004 as a researcher for the then current affairs programme The Keith Finnegan Show, while returning to college to complete a Hons degree in Public and Social Policy at NUIG; by 2006 I was promoted to producer of that show. Following that I completed a show revamp and took sole responsibility for the production of a 2.5 hour flagship morning current affairs programme. In 2013 I took on an extra role of Digital Media Administrator which involved not only developing GBFM's digital media strategy but also training of staff and co-ordination of online content.In 2007 Fionnuala became a director of Highland Radio Ltd, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal - Ireland's most successful local radio station, following the purchase of the station by her family. Joining the Highland team in 2014 and I have served as CEO of the station since 2015. I am a highly motivated experienced professional who enjoys taking on new challenges. Having served on the board of the Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce since 2017 I became President in February 2023. She also serves of the boards of the Independent Broadcasters of Ireland; Learning Waves, the educational body for the radio industry in Ireland; Radiocentre Ireland and IRS+, an Independent Radio Sales Agency.
