Effective KYC involves knowing customers identity and their financial activities in order to analyse the risk they pose.- Assess the information needed by determining customer type, then research sources as needed to complete gaps;- Examine complex ownership structures for ultimate beneficial ownership (UBO ) and connected/third parties; - Explore primary and secondary sources for customer information (including adverse media) and assess reliability and relevance of information;- Present effectively crafted profiles with objectivity and precision;-Review/update customer profile based on periodic review or event triggers

Research and monitoring of the latest developments in the European Institutions (EU Parliament, Commission and Council), Member States and the media pertaining to activities in the financial sector and Crisis Management (Security). Formulating policy and position papers in response to legislative proposals on behalf of clients which are then submitted to the European Parliament and/or European Commission.My work with Policy Action includes:• Attending Parliament Committee meetings and Commission hearings on issues related to financial services, Crisis Management;• Organisation of events and meetings with clients and MEP's;• Conduct reasearch on a variety of issues, processing a large amount of data for analytical porposes;• Represent stakeholders' interests within EU Institutions;• Assisting with various services including drafting press releases, updating websites and liaising with trade associations;• Keeping track of work in progress - legislative initiatives - and ensuring the follow-up of assigned tasks until completion

I was involved in the activities of the CFSP - Common Foreign & Security Policy - and CSDP - Common Security & Defence Policy - assisting the Italian Delegation. My work consisted in:- Assistance to the Italian Representative to the CivCom (Civilian Crisis Management) Committee and PSC (Political Security Committee);- Attendance of the European Council’s meetings and writing of reports;- Coordination and preparation of relevant documentation, analysis on specific topics (Civil-Military cooperation, Crisis Management, Arab Spring potential risks) and meetings (EU’s Institutions); - Ensure effective communication within the in-country team (for EU Civilian operations) and National Authorities;-EU’s mission and operations monitoring.I was fully committed to the closure of the WEU - Western European Union - during the Italian semester of Presidency, liaison with other Member States on the ad-hoc closure of the Organisation.
