About Firas Witwit

I am a development delivery professional within the public sector dealing with Housing, Corporate, Infrastructure and Heritage assets. With training and skills in project, design and construction management including specialism in works to Heritage Assets and BIM/Softlandings. I am also a chartered member of the CIOB with full membership of the APM.As part of the Strategic Development (SD) team of 3 strategic development projects managers, my responsibility is for the buildability/ delivery of schemes from viability /feasibility, through procurement, design, construction and finally handover. Managing a multi skilled professional team of delivery specialists to ensure development opportunities are viable, yielding the maximum benefit as per the client’s strategic objectives and for such developments to be costed within the commercial parameters set out by the business case.The SD team has been formed to seek out development opportunities with key drivers. The building of housing, the regeneration of areas in need of redevelopment, and to obtain revenue streams to support the public purse in the delivery of public services. Under the chief officer there are three managers, one dealing solely with obtaining planning and developing a business case for a new garden town. Another is primarily dealing with obtaining planning consent for development opportunities within the land bank.My role is to support the acquisition of land for the land bank, supporting the chief officer in the process of producing the business case, masterplanning and cost planning of development opportunities prior and post acquisition. Ensuring schemes selected for direct delivery are managed through the RIBA stages 1-7 by me and my small team of delivery professionals, while sites selected for JV are supported technically to ensure best return. Finally, my team supports the process of disposals as and when called upon.
