With a BE in Biomedical Engineering from University of Sciences and Technology, I pursued my passion for improving health care access and quality in challenging and remote settings. As a Biomedical Technician at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), I supported the delivery of life-saving medical interventions in various countries, such as Sudan, Yemen, and Ethiopia.My core competencies include biomedical devices, inventory management, and creative problem solving. I was responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of biomedical equipment, such as ultrasound machines, ventilators, and X-ray machines. I also trained and supervised local staff on the proper use and handling of the equipment, and collaborated with medical and logistics teams to identify and solve technical issues. Prior to MSF, I worked as a Biomedical Engineer at the Ministry of Health in Sudan, where I designed and implemented biomedical projects for various health facilities, and contributed to the development of national standards and policies for biomedical engineering. I have over three years of experience in the biomedical engineering field, and I have developed skills in cross-cultural communication, project management, and quality assurance. I am always eager to learn new technologies and innovations in the biomedical field, and I am motivated by the impact of my engineering skills on health outcomes and access for people in need.
