I am a lifelong learner with a diverse background. As a young adult I worked as a residential electrician throughout Atlanta, Georgia. This allowed me to learn a technical trade that prepared me mentally and physically for the challenges that were ahead of me in the United States Navy. Having served over 22 years in the armed forces I was blessed to lead, manage, and be part of teams all over the world. Working with people of different cultures, backgrounds, and origins allowed me to better understand our ever changing world and to better understand people in general. While serving in my primary role as a Navy Environmental Health Officer I managed environmental programs for the DoD in order to ensure state and country environmental law compliance in such places as Japan, Guam, and multiple CONUS locations. My environmental science experience led me to both Iraq and Afghanistan where I worked in the prevention of Disease Non-Battle Injury mitigation as well as establishing baseline sampling of soil, air, water, and various biological substances in order to better understand long term environmental effects. Utilizing various statistical analysis programs for long term scientific analysis introduced me to the world of computer coding and my passion for cybersecurity. The world of cybersecurity is constantly changing and is a lifelong learning process that I am committed to better understand. My drive, work ethic, and determination to achieve this has led me to attending the Fullstack Academy Cybersecurity Analytics Program. As an apprentice in the field I bring the knowledge and foundation instilled by the rigorous hands on approach from Fullstack Academy. This foundation along with over 20 years of experience in an executive atmosphere and scientific community will allow me to serve competently and confidently within the cyber community.
