The SE acts in a consultative fashion and is looked to as an expert in his/her field by the account team, channel partners and customers. This includes installations, troubleshooting and training of FireEye products, refine and research technical requirements of the opportunity, define solution options and articulate the benefits of FireEye products. Work closely with customers in the design and implementation/integration of FireEye products. Requirements:Bachelor Degree or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related discipline5 plus years pre-sales experience in the computer network security industry Core Competencies, Characteristics, and Essential Functions:Excellent communication and presentation skills. Exceptional written communication. Understand and articulate both the business benefits (value proposition) and technical advantages of FireEye products and solutions.Excellent linux skills, network architecture/implementation/configuration experience and knowledge of packet flow/TCP/UDP traffic Excellent knowledge of security technologies and solutions such as firewalls, IDS, IPS, proxy technologies, anti-virus, spam, spyware and anti-malware technologies (etc. etc.).
