The education system is undergoing a disruptive shift; preparing students to traditional literacy standards is no longer enough. Today's workforce demands so much more in terms of leadership skills such as self-direction, self-management and problem-solving which are not currently the core focus of our education system. I believe that the twenty-first-century learning must embodies an approach to teaching that marries content to skill. Without which students are left to memorize facts, recall details for worksheets, and relegate their educational experience to passivity. My calling is to help develop these skills in up-and-coming generations, because students in schools today will be the next generation of leaders in the workplace, in our communities and in their families tomorrow.With over ten years’ experience of developing and delivering training programme to over 10, 000 students in 350 schools, First-ED Nigeria is in the forefront of student leadership and educational development training. First-ED Nigeria is an intervention designed to bridge the gap between the knowledge students acquire in classrooms with the skills, attitudes and behaviors the labour market demands. Our goal is to inspire and equip young people for leadership in any career options and support them to become confident individuals, successful learners and responsible leader.
