For six years, he served as a paramedic, and during this time, he was selected as one of the fast response paramedics. These paramedics, riding motorcycles, would be the first to arrive at an emergency scene, even before the ambulance. This role provided Rasheed with invaluable experiences, from attending to road traffic accidents to delivering babies.However, one observation that struck him deeply was the sight of bystanders, including family members, often frozen in inaction during emergencies. This realisation sparked a desire in Rasheed to educate and empower others.Transition to TrainingRasheed's experiences as a paramedic made him recognise the importance of first aid training. He believed that real-life experiences, rather than just textbook knowledge, would make a significant difference in training. Thus, he transitioned from being a paramedic to a trainer, aiming to equip individuals with practical skills and knowledge.Singapore First Aid Training CentreEstablishing the Singapore First Aid Training Centre was a significant milestone in Rasheed's journey. The center's unique approach to training, which emphasises real-life experiences, set it apart. One of their notable initiatives, the "My True Hero Program," was designed to help individuals overcome their fears and barriers during emergencies.
