My name is Michael Fisher, and I am a local irrigation and landscape business owner here in Johnson County.My journey into this business started many years ago with a memory of my father. Ever the meticulous lawnsman, he was always trimming, mulching, planting, seeding, and watering. Ughh, that dang HOSE! I always dreaded the watering because more often than not it was I, who was dragging that hose around. My father too, owned a development company, so as the years passed, my responsibilities grew. I went from being the household water boy all the way up to project manager in residential construction. At the age of 21, I decided to make a mark on the world and try my hand at brokering mortgages. Within weeks I just knew that I had found my calling. A nice crisp suit, a spacious and airy cubicle of my own, and free will again! The mortgage business treated me well for many years. It wasn't until one day while staring out of my office window, I saw the guys out mowing the grass that I got an empty feeling. While battling the newly established slump I was now in, it came to me while again staring blankly out my window at the guys: I missed the watering hose! I missed being outside doing what I've always done. So for the next year I battled with myself about what to do. Finally, I threw in the proverbial towel. I traded in my nice crisp suit for a new pair of boots. The first full day of wearing them I ended up with blisters of monstrous proportions. Nevertheless, I knew I was where I wanted to be.Today, I proudly own and operate a full service irrigation and landscape company, AquaPro irrigation & Landscaping.
