Vice President and General ManagerLed the development of complex projects outside the company’s typical portfolio of industrial and office properties:• 1,700 acre master planned, mixed-use project northwest of Indianapolis, known as Anson. www.ansonindiana.com • Assembled and acquired over 1,000 acres from over 25 landowners. • Led the design, branding and marketing of Anson. Responsible for the strategic vision and direction of the project. • Led a multi-disciplinary team in obtaining entitlements and incentives, resulting in the creation of the one of the largest and most flexible PUD zoning districts in the state and tax increment financing proceeds in excess of $35M. • Led the design and construction of over $55M in public and private infrastructure. • Structured and negotiated land sale deals in various product types, including medical, restaurant, big box retail, banks, single-family, multi-family and industrial. Sold over $44M of land from 2006 through 2011. • Attracted major economic development deals: Medco Health Solutions (one of the largest economic development projects in the country in 2008 with over $100M projected investment and over 1,200 employees); and Amazon.com’s 1 million square foot fulfillment center and over $20M investment.• Redevelopment of GM Assembly Plant, Power Center Retail Project, Linden, NJ • Led the development of 350,000 sf power center in Linden, NJ on a former General Motors assembly plant. • Structured retail deals with big box anchor retailers and outlot users that provided an acceptable yield despite the fact that the land was purchased prior to the recession.• Selected to chair the company’s Diversity Council, an internal committee focused on educating, advocating and increasing awareness of diversity and inclusion within and outside the company.

Legal counsel for the company’s retail and Indianapolis office business units. Negotiated leases, purchase and sale agreements, and other documents related to the development and operation of 3.8 million sf office portfolio and 3 million sf power center retail portfolio. Also provided legal counsel, from time to time, on miscellaneous corporate matters, including bankruptcy, applicability of federal and state regulation, telecommunications, aviation leasing and other matters.

Represented private business and city and town clients in various contexts including: real estate; zoning; economic development; road and right-of-way issues; utility matters before before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission; contracts and civil litigation involving contract disputes and other business-related controversies. Also represented debtors and creditors in Federal Bankruptcy Court, advised business clients on the application of various state and federal laws and regulations.
