Hey there! 👋 I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the proud owner of Graceful Therapy, PLLC in Oswego and Aurora, IL. My practice is my greatest professional accomplishment. It has brought me so much joy to organically grow my practice by hiring clincians with the same passions and values I have in order to best meet the needs of my community. Our team is intentional about integrating our values of grace, inclusivity, authenticity, compassion and community in our workplace as well as in our clinical practices. I see my role as the employer as to create a positive and supportive environment in which my clinicians can then provide the highest level of clinical care. I strive to compensate my staff ethically, progressively and with equity, while also meeting their needs for comraderie and whole-being support. In my clinical work, I'm all about helping families, couples, and individuals thrive. I am trauma informed and always educating myself with the latest advances in the mental health field. I'm also an Approved Supervisor with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and hold certifications in Perinatal Mental Health and Brainspotting. In my personal life, I am a blessed mother of three and wife to a passionate and social justice oriented pastor. As a family we can often be found doing the classic young family suburban activities like running off to tumbling class and soccer games. We also spend time living out our values by walking in the Pride parade, participating in social service projects and I have served on the the board of directors for NAMI KDK since 2018. My educational background includes a BA in Psychology and Religion from Augustana College (Rock Island) and an MA in Theology from Luther Seminary as well as an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary's University of Minnesota.
