As for the name, Zootown is a term of endearment for Missoula (Mizz-ooo-lah), Montana and meaningful for those of us lucky enough to call Missoula home.

Took advantage of an opportunity to dive into new ideas for e-commerce platforms. Bigskycountry.com was our idea for a fresh new specialty outdoor retailer. Engaged in early ideas and business development. Oversaw the completion of the business plan and engaged in leading the implementation of the plan. Ultimately architected and engineered a completely cloud based marketplace from a zero code base and launched in a 4 month time frame.Bigskycountry.com was sold to an investment group in 2012 and has since been shuttered.

Senior level oversight of the IT and marketing teams. Charged with coordinating efforts between the teams to create more synergism due to the high growth of our online efforts.Responsibilities included continued oversight of our IT framework, team members and strategies with the addition of the marketing team coordinated by our Marketing Manager.Designed, implemented and facilitated marketing plans and strategies for multi-channel commerce including retail and our online marketplaces. Support our business unit objectives and strategies to facilitate growth. The position included budgetary oversight for the marketing operations online and retail budgets. Oversight also included branding, design review and communications.Developed direct-to-consumer analytical models and assisted in developing strategies for our catalog business and house file growth. Worked with business analysts to develop market and business intelligence for business optimization.Led the team including the marketing manager, graphic designers and copywriters and marketing analyst.
