The International Federation for Sustainable Development and Fight against Poverty in the Mediterranean-Black Sea was born in 2004.Up to now our Association displays 226 partners coming from 39 countries of the Euro-Mediterranean and Black Sea area, thus representing almost 1,8 million citizens of the related area.Because of these reasons FISPMED considers environment and sustainable development as priorities, in accordance with many documents of international relevance.Consequently, FISPMED recognizes as priorities those actions aiming at: • water management • the rational usage of energy, renewable energy sources• sustainable mobility • sustainable tourism agricultural and rural sustainable development; • urban sustainable development; • sustainable development of sea, coasts and sea resources.Through multiple actions, FISPMED endeavours to strengthen the contribution of civil society, which it represents, by attributing to it the possibility to express its own reflections on community and international policies of direct involvement (that is the actual Barcelona Process: Union for the Mediterranean).As a consequence, FISPMED collects citizens’ instances and submits them to the attention of the institutional representatives, in order to contribute to the improvement in the decision-making process and to the strengthening of the democratic process for participation and research of proper and more efficient solutions, capable to cope with the real needs of the involved population. On the other side, FISPMED makes also use of community and international projects originating from the network; the projects develop synergies aiming to ameliorate life conditions for citizens of the whole Euro-Mediterranean and Black Sea area.Specialties: non-profits, information, awareness campaigns, fund-raising
