-Ensure effective day to day management of the school's systems, IT department, personnel and resources;-Implement new systems and manage projects to improve the school IT;-Advise the Bursar on IT developments & necessary upgrades;-Work with the Head of Teaching and Learning to develop teaching methods in unison with developing technology;-Advise on future hardware and systems to compliment and support teaching;-Produce and update a 3 year development plan;-Ensure timely communication of issues and crisis manage situations, keeping the Bursar fully informed;-Draw up annual IT budgets to submit to the Bursar and negotiate funding of larger projects;-Hire and manage contractors and maintain supplier relationships;-Reduced costs by over £40,000;Achievements============-Wrote IT department document, stating vision, strategy and 3 year plan. This was the first of this kind created for the department & in the school;-Stood in for a missing IT teacher for 2 terms, teaching Years 3 – 7;-Helped develop IT policy on topics such as e-safety, social media, data security and computer and IT usage;-Tendered for a new print management solution to replace 30 disperate printers and photocopiers with an integrated system;-Modernised IT systems, introducing online booking systems, installed the first areas of managed wireless and other online systems;-Headed up the development and commissioning of a new website and accompanying social media sites;-Ran whole school INSET training sessions;-Redesigned the IT Office to a workable solution, implementing effective workstations and maintenance areas;

-Direct the IT Systems team, manage & maintain the school network, IT systems, servers, phone system and websites, both internal and external;-Drive & help deliver IT projects for departments or whole school;-Support staff through training, IT advice and IT provision;-Support students with their work & learning;-Troubleshoot and repair user problems;-Liaise with outside contractors for repairs and quotes;-Support the Information Manager in planning & budgeting future development and expansion;-Manage projects and implement new systems;Achievements===========-Designed and implemented a new infrastructure including:+New virtual servers running Server 2008R2;+Designed & implement new AD structure, AD groups and GPO's;+Installed and migrated user accounts to Exchange 2010;+Migrated and upgraded all workstations to Windows 7 & Office 2010;+Migrated all services to new servers including web services on both IIS & WAMP platforms;+Managed the successful transition from the old system to new, especially services such as Email and websites;-Designed, implemented and rolled out a Moodle VLE across the school;
