Data Migration Solution ArchitectBank Of Ireland Apr 2012 - Oct 2012Dublin- The SEPA Programme was set up to make BOI systems SEPA payment compliant. The planning phase of the programme involved evaluating the feasibility of replacing the bank’s legacy business customer channel and payments infrastructure with a leading edge third party vendor product while moving the bank to a message-based architecture for business payments. - Responsible for defining the scope and business requirements for data migration, with input from key business and programme stakeholders.- Developed two solution delivery options. Completed a detailed analysis of each in terms of delivery risk, data quality, customer experience and overall cost. Reviewed and agreed costs & benefits with stakeholders. - Results of this analysis showed that customer conversion to a new channel was high-risk given the scope and EU-mandated SEPA deadline. This was one of the key factors resulting in de-scoping the new channel from the programme. -

Data Migration ManagerEuropean Space Agency Apr 2010 - Aug 2011Amsterdam, Paris, Malaga, Rome- The Financial Management Reform (FINREF) project was set up to define and implement the framework for a new financial management model, supported by a new SAP implementation, for the European Space Agency. - The migration scope covered all contractual data history going back to the foundation of the agency in 1972, representing 200,000 contractual commitments valued at €53Bn.- Managed a team of 7 people (onshore and offshore) with €1M budget. Responsible for functional designs, technical designs, ensuring high quality development, testing of data migration and associated tools, execution of mock migrations, resolution of issues and defects, regular status reporting to client and Accenture management, supervision and coaching of team members.- Managed challenges with stakeholders that were reluctant to move to SAP BI. Ultimately BI was de-scoped and the migration logic was used to build an interface for SAP data into the legacy reporting system. -

Managed project budgets of up to €1M pa. Managed requirements collection, analysis, estimation, work planning, work tracking, functional design, test preparation, test execution, deployment, quality control and change control.- Managed 2 releases (March 2008, March 2009) of the Department’s Online Filing System. This involved liaison with senior business stakeholders and external groups representing agricultural agents in order to determine the application requirements. Twice delivered the application to an aggressive deadline, ahead of schedule, in order to facilitate an early opening date for the filing period.
