Leading development and automation of a GPS displacement measurement network that is in place and operated by the Icelandic Met Office in cooperation with organizations all around the world.Also currently participating in a big project led by IMO and the University of Iceland and funded by EU's Seventh Framework Program. The project brings together about 25 Universities and Companies all over Europe to develop and implement a SuperSite in Iceland. The SuperSite is meant to monitor volcanic activities in all the major volcanos in Iceland in a more complete way than has been done before. Big part of the project is development of new ways to monitor volcanoes. The project's working title is FutureVolc. My current role is a task leader in one of the project's Work Packages that focuses on collecting data from different monitoring networks and make it searchable and downloadable.Had the role of acting Senior Project Manager in the IT department between August 2011 and December 2011 while the Senior Project Manager was on paternity leave.

Working on analyzing script malware (javascript, vbscript, bat, etc.), assisting in designing and developing a heuristic framework and methods for detecting script malware, developing and implementing tools in python for mining data from big collections of script files, designing and documenting processes and procedures for miscellaneous reoccurring tasks in our day-to-day business, assisting with design, documentation and development of our front-end malware software.

Designed a solution for an internal website with document control, employee site and specialized project and information sites for Skyggnir and TM Software. Part of the design was implemented by me and the rest by others. Forms and workflows in Sharepoint were also part of the design.

A specialist in processes and procedures, worked with customers analyzing areas of their IT environment and developed processes that describe their needs in the environment. Had the position of a Project Manager, managing IT integration for customers, both hardware (infrastructure) and software (Sharepoint environment).

Assistant to associate professor dr. Helgi Þór Ingason in the course Project Management 2, taught in the engineering department at the University of Iceland. I gave an introduction to PRINCE2 project management methodology and assisted students with an ongoing project throughout the course.
