Francisco Javier Camarena Juárez’s practice is focused on environmental and sustainability issues of the oil and gas, energy industry, local and municipalities regulation (compliance, performance, strategic litigation). He holds an LL.M. in IT and Telecom Law from the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow, Scotland), and a Master in Constitucional Law from the Universidad Iberoamericana. In the public sector, he was Senior Regional Officer for SEMARNAT (The Environment Ministry of Mexico), and in-house counsel for Petróleos Mexicanos-PEMEX Refinación. Also, he was in a secondment within Oftel (the Telecom Regulator in UK). In the private practice, he is leading the environmental regulatory group in the Law firm López-Velarde, Wilson, S.C.Mr. Fj Camarena is a Professor of Environmental Law and has published several articles in México as regards environmental, sustainability and climate issues in energy industry in Mexico
