Drove QA effort for AIX port of network performance management reporting tool. Formed AIX specific QA team for Solaris based product that IBM purchased and folded into the Netcool portfolio. Senior AIX resource and expert for cross-departmental IT issues. Developed test plans and managed test case reviews with development teams across the Proviso suite. Specialist in High Availability functionality of product, charged with all AIX Acceptance testing for suite. Tested Embedded WebSphere (E-Was) application integration. Resolved level 2 & 3 support issues. Managed 50 servers in secured lab, as well as co-managing cross-departmental HMC server that ran 30 servers with over 100 LPARs. Installed AIX LPARs on p5 550, 515 and 600 environments. Installed and configured VIO for each p5 550. Managed multiple logical partitions on IBM p5 servers and Solaris T2000s. Planned departmental hardware logistics during 2 moves over 3 year migration project. Oversaw IT, QA and Support efforts of social media marketing technology spin off from the MIT Media Lab. Utilized Big Data to find synchronicities/commonalities among millions of Microsoft community members to help drive attendance to MS community events. PopStick produced original multi-media video and email messaging to foster social media activity among their various user based communities. This effort was funded by Steve Balmer as a direct way to build the MS community and enhance support of Microsoft's efforts. PopStick was embedded within Microsoft's network and had full access the Marketing department's contact database. PopStick was successful in building attendance and community involvement by 3 - 5% annually, this was in the days before social media sites like FaceBook were freely available to the public.By examining data points collected by Microsoft, we were able to find ways to improve their in-person marketing and in-person community building efforts. Managed QA Staff (three people), Support Staff (two people), IT Staff (two people) and Operations for regular email blasts of millions of contacts every week. Managed sections of MS Website directly, managed off site co-located webfarm, and worked with Akamai to partner distributed video sharing efforts.

Early start up employee at Open*Vision Technologies that was part of a spin off from Project Athena at MIT. Held many roles as the company became successful and eventually merged with VERITAS Software (now part of Symantec). Worked primarily as an IT Engineer (one of three Sr Admins in the company at the time) , Worked with Customer Support, Quality Assurance and Field Engineering to help VERITAS develop extended operating systems for Solaris, HP-Ux and AIX. Resolved problems with developers, clients and onsite for important issues. Sr IT Engiineer on VERITAS internal QA effort "Eat Our Own Dog Food". Identified real world problems and engineered real world solutions.
