Decoupled emissions from growth through renewable energy by achieving -6% carbon footprint reduction per person and a -7% absolute reduction of energy consumption during +27% business growth. Built business case for first sustainable supply chain programme and launched with public targets in 2016, delivering first savings in 2017 and 2018. Secured thought leadership role in industry forums such as Responsible Media Forum, Collectively, RE100 and was published & quoted in 15+ articles in 2017 and 2018. Integrated sustainability considerations across functional departments and into financial reporting structure of the Network, including performance reviews for management. Achieved +17% skills improvement through developing workforce in high potential skilled volunteering programmes. Facilitated integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into sustainability strategy and played leading role in industry-wide Common Ground initiative to tackle Global Goals.

Responsible for establishing a new environmental and community agenda. Achievements include:Developed company’s first 5-year global sustainability strategy, with associated programmes, which exceeded its targets by 2015. Designed first internal and external governance structures around sustainability, establishing regular Board reports and enhancing internal measurement and reporting (achieving assurance). Facilitated increase of 45+ points to 97/100 in Carbon Disclosure Project through strong expertise in measurement, reporting and external disclosure of sustainability KPIs. Achieved -21% carbon emissions per person reduction over 5-year period (exceeding targets) during period of rapid business growth (+77% in FTEs). Tripled community investment to a cumulative £75m by the end of 2015, reaching a 75% volunteering rate across 30,000+ FTEs supporting 2,650+ charities in 60 countries.Successfully engaged digital-first millennial workforce (growing from 7,000 to 30,000+) with sustainability, achieving a +27% increase in favourability in employee opinion survey. Mobilised a network of 400+ sustainability champions across our Network to implement the strategy and run its programmes, engaging them successfully virtually and in-person. Led on the integration of over 125 acquisitions including the merger between Dentsu Inc. and Dentsu Aegis Network, whilst delivering the original 2010 targets. Awarded Big Tick by Business in the Community as well as 10 other awards for both environmental and community programmes, including shortlisting for Best CSR Professional in 2016.Successfully guided communications with investors, clients and partners through regulatory and voluntary communications, winning ICSA Best Sustainability Disclosure for the FTSE250. Represented the Network on the Board of the London Benchmarking Group (LBG) and other industry forums such as MediaCSRForum and Act Responsible.
