In October 2018 I joined Cambly Inc. as a private, online English Tutor for kids and adults. I’ve tutored learners from a broad range of backgrounds to improve their English speaking, reading and writing skills through one-on-one video chat lessons tailored to their specific needs and goals with an emphasis on improving fluency, lexical resource, grammar range, pronunciation and intonation. On Cambly I have had the opportunity to assist many learners to improve their business communication in an international setting both verbal and non-verbal, as a powerful tool for career growth, which afforded them an opportunity to make connections with people across the globe. While other learners have required intensive IELTS exam preparation for upcoming English speaking assessments. In this instance I made use of up-to-date practice questions from past exams, and tips and tricks for improving their exam score. Location Independent

In January 2015 I joined the team of facilitators for TeamUp Education Ltd, an Asian Leadership Institute flagship program. This 9 module online mindfulness-based program guides participants on a journey of self-inquiry and self-discovery by exploring topics such as mindfulness, personality, observer, emotions, expansion and contraction, vibrational communication and wisdom, in order for them to gain insights and become better in the areas of their lives that matter the most. It is conducted online in groups of three or more participants through a series of videos, readings, exercises and Skype calls. I coached and facilitated each participant’s journey from inception to completion as they evolved through obstacles and challenges to reach their personal growth objectives. During the program participants were encouraged to develop a consistent personal practice that supported a prototype of the transformation they wished to achieve. Participants usually reported a series of personal breakthroughs along the course of the journey. I am currently a member of the TeamUp mentoring team and serve to guide and support new facilitators-in-training who are acquiring the skills to take participants through the 9 module program. Together, through a series of check in conversations around recorded practice calls, I uncover their personal growth objectives and enable them to become excellent facilitators. www.teamup.co

Online

In September 2018 I joined SayABC as an online English Teacher for young Chinese students, aged 5 to 12. I taught students in groups of one to four using the SayABC curriculum developed in collaboration with Cengage and National Geographic on a highly sophisticated, interactive English teaching platform. My role was to empower and build confidence in the younger generation and enable them to discover a world of possibilities while learning English as a second language. These online lessons were engaging and fun and included songs, games, grammar, phonics, dialogue practice and rewards, using a variety of props and TPR (total body response) to ensure a high level of focus and edutainment for each student throughout the lesson. Thailand And China

In 2011, I started the very first Laughter Yoga Club in Chiang Mai, Thailand. At the time it was a very new practice for the local community and many people came and joined my laughter classes. After a while, these classes started to develop into the creation of my own laughter yoga business and I began to facilitate regular 2-day laughter yoga training courses in several cities in both Thailand and China. Participants traveled from far and wide to join these fun and lively trainings and learn about the practice and benefits of intentional laughter as per the Laughter Yoga University International curriculum.Among the highlights of this journey included laughing together with enormous groups of people, of varying nationality, age and ability. The impact of laughing in these groups had an effect of forming instant connections between myself and others that traversed across culture and language.Laughter yoga enabled me to express the notions of celebration and joy outwardly, which I would not have ordinarily been to express in daily life on that level. It enabled me to connect with people in a very joyful, natural and upbeat way, to move out of my comfort zone and challenge myself. It is a highly creative and right brained activity as there is nothing rigid to follow, and it really appealed to my dry sense of humour. Laughter yoga taught me how to live playfully and feel relaxed in all situations. Chiang Mai, Thailand

At EFL I taught students both one to one and in small groups. My students ranged in age from nursery to adult levels and were mostly from Thailand and Japan. I taught conversational and business English, as well as, tutored students for their IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam. Teaching at EFL was highly rewarding; my young learners were enthusiastic and my adult learners had very specific objectives for mastering the English language which made them highly motivated to learn and improve. I used a range of workbooks and materials provided by EFL, to expand their reading writing and speaking skills.

Chiang Mai

Wachiriwit is a private school whose students are predominantly non-academic with behavioral challenges. Classroom management and teacher-student interpersonal relationships was a primary focus of this teaching experience. I taught high school students in Mathayom 4 and 5 using games, songs and activities, as well as Mathayom 6 (final year students), preparation for the final English exam. Phadungpanya is a large government school located in a tiny rural town called Tak, near the Myanmar-Thai border. I taught High School English conversation Mathayom 1,2,3,4 and 5 by means of songs, chants, games and worksheets including all peripheral teaching administration; lesson planning, worksheet design, setting tests, grading and marking. My contract was through an agency; Media Kids, Bangkok.

I taught Prathom (primary) students at London House in the afternoons and weekends in a fun and relaxed approach. Students completed English workbooks, coloured pictures, sang, danced and played games. Additionally tutored university students for their IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam.
