Worked in Dr. Andrea Bonisoli-Alquati's Ecotoxicology Lab. Conducted a research synthesis on perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) concentrations in birds around the world. Funded by National Institute of Health (NIH) Minority Biomedical Research Group Support (MBRS) Research Initiative for Scientific Enhancement (RISE) June 2019 through June 2020.

Quantified concentrations of organochlorine pesticides and mercury in stranded harbor seal pup tissues. Learned EPA pesticide standard preparations methods as well as use of gas-chromatography mass-spectrometry (GC-MS). Presented finding at the University of Connecticut, Avery Point and the Mystic Aquarium. Was selected to present at the Ocean Sciences.

Taught groups of 40-80 students about ocean acidification and its impact on Los Angeles Harbor, marine life, and global communities. Led students to collect and test water samples as well as analyze the collected data and reflect on what they can do as individuals to make a difference.

Glendale Community College

Worked as part of a team to upkeep 4 tanks and herpetarium with over 15 snakes at Glendale Community College. The various aquariums (both saltwater and freshwater) were maintained by scrubbing, changing water, and feeding animals. When new organisms are collected and brought in, they were identified using dichotomous keys in manuals. Then, a species sheet.
